Testex Spring Micrometers are designed for use in conjunction with the Testex Replica Tape. This gauge falls into conformance of Method C in ASTM D4417 for acquiring surface profile measurements. The micrometer allows you to get quick and accurate readings while allowing you to keep a permanent copy of the surface profile in the form of the replica tape.
Usage of these gauges is very straight forward. A factory certification is not done on any of the micrometers. If you would like your unit certified be sure to add it to the micrometer before adding it to your cart.

Testex replica tape is used in conjunction with an analog or digital spring-loaded micrometer for acquiring surface profile measurements according to Method C in ASTM D4417. The replica tape is rubbed onto the abrasive blast cleaned surface forming a reverse replica of the peak-valley pattern in the steel. Dial Depth Pit Gauge
This precision gauge measures the depth of pits up to 125 mils (0.5 mil increments). The 2.5" x 3.75" gauge is designed with an elongated knife edge stabilizer and a cut-out for positioning the pinpoint stylus directly over the pit for optimum measurements.
