Dakota ZX-3

The Dakota ZX-3 is the replacement for the popular MX-3. The ZX-3 features an extruded aluminum body with gasket sealed nickel-plated aluminum end caps.  Weighing only 11 ounces with batteries installed this gauge is designed to last.   The sturdy design continues into keypad which has 9 keys behind a sealed membrane which is resistant to water and petroleum products.

Supplied by default is a 5 mHz transducer which allows the ZX-3 to read around 6” of wall thickness over non-coated materials out of the box.  Other transducers are available and interchangeable through the two quick disconnect LEMO connectors on the top of the gauge. The Dakota ZX-3 is powered by two AA batteries and can operate for 45 hours on alkaline cells.

Built in is a manual and auto zero mode to ensure that the gauge is reading properly.  The ZX-3 also features a high-speed scan at 100 Hz which will display the lowest reading found in the scan.
