Atkins 35200-K and Probes

Measuring and recording ambient conditions (prevailing conditions of air temperature, relative humidity and dew point temperature) and surface temperature prior to final surface preparation and coating mixing/application is critical to determining whether operations can begin or continue, and whether the coating will cure properly prior to application of subsequent coats or placing the coating system into service.

One of the most critical conditions is the relationship between the dew point temperature and the surface temperature, since a surface temperature at or below the dew point temperature will result in condensation that may or may not be visible. Don’t risk painting over condensation because of an inaccurate surface temperature thermometer. The Atkins AquaTuff^® 352 hand-held thermocouple digital thermometer equipped with a ceramic surface temperature probe (Model 50318-K, sold separately) measures surface temperature from -40° to 1,202° F and stabilizes within 3 seconds of probe placement. The thermometer includes a backlit display button, hold feature, is °F/°C switchable, and is equipped with a belt clip for portability. Model 49126-K is a K-Type thermometer probe made for high temperature and tight access (measurement range is -32° to 932° F with a 1/16″ tip)

Model 50335-K is a K-type temperature probe with a 1/8″ diameter needle probe measurement range is -40° to 500 °F)

Model 50318-K is a K-Type thermometer probe with a ceramic tip for use in high temperature applications (range is -40° to 1,202° F)
