Performing this test in strict conformance to the ASTM standard is critical for obtaining accurate adhesion ratings. A precision machined stainless steel guide/template contains 11 precut slots for maintaining 2mm spacing between incisions (for coatings between 2 and 5 mils thick), and contains adjustable, pointed set screws for leveling the guide on uneven surfaces while keeping it in place. The Guide is packaged in a protective vinyl pouch with an Allen wrench to adjust the leveling feet.
